Furthers pharma industry leadership and delivers value across markets
Systech, a leading provider of digital identification and traceability software solutions, completed an exceptional 2022 which saw an extension of its authority serving the pharmaceutical market, expansion into other markets and continued enhancement of its comprehensive platform.
Systech regularly serves the majority of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, which contributed half of its revenue in 2022. This year also saw Systech protecting a new vaccine in the market with expansion in 2023 to full traceability of the supply chain from manufacturing to patient administration.
Building on its proven success with pharmaceutical customers, Systech also made strides in gaining adoption in other markets last year. Its easily configured turnkey solutions are attractive to brands facing regulatory challenges or needing traceability and product authentication in markets such as medical devices, nutraceuticals and personal care.
In 2022, customers continued to increase the use of Systech’s patented product authentication solution, with its largest customer more than doubling use over 2021. It offers a digital layer of brand and product protection using patented e-Fingerprint® technology derived from a printed package barcode. There are now over 100 million products that have been protected by Systech.
Systech also invested in development to enhance its industry-leading technology and deliver customer value. For example, Systech Insight™ shifts packaging line operations from reactive to proactive with agile systems focused on automation and drives better-informed business decisions. The company added support for smart cameras to its comprehensive vision inspection and serialization portfolio, which seamlessly integrates with its patented workflow engine.
Together with Markem-Imaje, Systech successfully piloted serialization for a consumer goods company at a record-breaking 900ppm. The organizations offer turnkey solutions that can help brands comply with fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) regulations.
“While 2022 was exceptional for Systech, and one we are proud to look back on, we have quickly turned our attention to addressing the challenges our customers face in the year ahead,” said Girish Juneja, GM, Systech, and SVP and CDO, Dover Corporation. “Supply chain resiliency, sustainability and digital transformation are critical objectives we are helping our clients address, in addition to meeting the looming regulatory compliance demands required by the DSCSA this year.”
As the pharmaceutical industry nears the November 2023 deadline specified by the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), Systech offers the speed, flexibility and proven expertise needed to get companies compliant. Systech provides an interoperable solution for secure data exchange across the supply chain ecosystem—spanning manufacturers, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract packaging organizations (CPOs), distributors, third-party logistics providers, dispensers and regulatory bodies. To date, Systech has led DSCSA industry testing efforts, established compliant connections with major wholesalers and achieved compliance for many of its customers.
2023 will see continued expansion of the Systech team and investment in product development as the company extends its leadership across markets with the digital product identification and traceability solutions needed to drive better-informed decisions for product safety and improved operations.
